ABOUT
YALETOWN
WE HOPE YOU LOVE
WHAT WE’VE DONE WITH THE PLACE
To us, Yaletown is more than just a neighbourhood—it’s a connected, vibrant community of businesses, residents, and unmistakable energy.
The Yaletown BIA is a non-profit representing over 800 local businesses, dedicated to championing entrepreneurs and helping the neighbourhood thrive. Since 1999, we’ve helped shape Yaletown’s evolution from an industrial district into the dynamic retail and dining destination it is today. Through advocacy, promotion, placemaking, and community initiatives, we support the people behind Yaletown and bring life to its streets and public spaces.
We believe great neighbourhoods are built with intention. By supporting local businesses, activating public spaces, and drawing people into the heart of Yaletown, we’re committed to keeping the area vibrant, welcoming, and always worth a visit.
-
WE MEAN BUSINESS
We go to bat for our members, connect the right people, and build the kind of environment where good businesses become great ones.
-
DRAWING A CROWD
Through marketing campaigns, events, and community partnerships, we give people a reason to show up — and keep coming back.
-
LOOKING GOOD IS PART OF THE JOB
Yaletown’s look is part of it’s identity. We collaborate with the City and local businesses on public realm improvements to create a polished, welcoming environment for everyone who works, lives, and plays here.
-
BRICK BY BRICK
The events change. The energy doesn't. We programme year-round to keep Yaletown at its best.
WHERE EVERY STREET HAS A STORY
Originally an industrial warehouse district, Yaletown’s transformation into a thriving waterfront community is one of Vancouver’s great success stories. Founded in 1999, the Yaletown BIA has been part of that evolution every step of the way. We have worked to maintain the neighborhood’s heritage buildings, walkable brick-lined streets, and unique charm, while embracing the growth, development, and change that has made Yaletown one of Vancouver's most sought-after destinations.
The loading docks are now patios. The warehouses are now some of the city's best restaurants, galleries, and boutiques. And tens of thousands of residents now call Yaletown home. Some neighbourhoods age. Yaletown just gets better.
