WHAT IS YALETOWN’S HISTORY?

Yaletown is one of Vancouver’s most storied neighbourhoods. Originally established in 1886 as the western terminus of the Canadian Pacific Railway, it was once a bustling industrial district lined with warehouses and rail yards. Following the 1986 World’s Fair, the area underwent a remarkable transformation into the vibrant mixed-use community it is today.
