Some evenings, Yaletown just breaks into song. Vancity Hot Jazz Society sets up in Bill Curtis Square for live jazz, swing, and enough room for everyone (kids included) to find their groove.

Who: ME & G

Mary Ella Young (ME) and Georgina Arntzen (G) are known for their joyful blend of swing, blues, and folk-inspired pop. Staples of the Vancouver scene as two-thirds of The Hot Mammas, the duo formed ME & G following the loss of a cherished bandmate. They will be  joined by Shannon Thue on keys, Jenny Lee on bass, Casey Thomas Burns on trombone, and Lauri Lyster on drums.

BYOB welcome for the grown-ups.
