Some evenings, Yaletown just breaks into song. Vancity Hot Jazz Society sets up in Bill Curtis Square for live jazz, swing, and enough room for everyone (kids included) to find their groove.

Who: Lloyd and Tom: the Great Grandpa Arntzens

Born in 1927, Lloyd Arntzen has been a legendary clarinetist and pillar of Vancouver's trad jazz scene since the 1940s. He will be joined by his son, Tom Arntzen, a singer, keyboardist, composer, producer, and grandfather in his own right. The beloved duo will lead their band in a joyful take on classic New Orleans jazz and the swinging music of the Great American Songbook.
