Let's Hear it For Yaletown

Some evenings, Yaletown just breaks into song. Vancity Hot Jazz Society sets up in Bill Curtis Square for live jazz, swing, and enough room for everyone (kids included) to find their groove.

Who: Brad Shigeta’s Swingtime Band

Trombonist and bandleader Brad Shigeta has performed and recorded worldwide for five decades, including work with the Duke Ellington Orchestra and Jazz at Lincoln Center. He serves as musical director for Edmonton's Stardust and Lindy Harvest, and worked regularly with Frankie Manning in New York.
